We all want a bright and clear face, but what about your neck? Did you forget to pay attention to your neck when wearing a face mask or massaging? We usually neglect to take care of our neck. That’s why it usually looks darker than our complexion. Like our face, our neck also needs to be cleaned and hydrated on a regular basis. Over time, dirt and dust will begin to build upon your neck, but if you don’t clean it well, your neck will darken.

Common Causes of Dark Neck

It is not uncommon to notice black spots on the neck that was not previously present. Here are some reasons why you might have them:

  3. Chemicals in skincare and cosmetics
  4. Environmental pollution
  5. Diabetes or obesity
  6. Fungal infection
  7. Hormonal status such as acanthosis nigricans

Here are some home remedies that you should try to lighten the skin on your neck.

1. Aloe Vera

Aloe vera acts as a whitening agent. It contains a flavonoid called aloesin, which prevents skin pigmentation. Aloe vera, a flavonoid found in aloe vera, helps lighten the skin by inhibiting the activity of enzymes responsible for skin pigmentation. Aloe vera also contains essential fatty acids, vitamins, and minerals to hydrate and nourish the skin.

Simply take out the gel from the aloe vera plant. Rub on the neck for a few minutes and rinse with water. You can do this every day.

2. Baking Soda

Baking soda is used in most of the home remedies for brightening your dark neck. Baking soda is like an exfoliating agent and helps clean the old stratum corneum on the neck. Baking soda also increases blood circulation in the skin. Simply put the baking powder in a bowl and mix it with water to make a smooth paste. Apply to the entire neck and let it dry. Rub with your finger until dry and rinse with water.

3. Potato Juice

Did you know that potatoes have a bleaching effect? It can brighten your dark spots and make your skin brighter. Grate the potatoes and use a blender to extract the juice. Apply to the neck for 10 minutes and wash with lukewarm water.

4. Chickpea Flour

Chickpea flour is a good scrub and is great for removing dead skin cells that can maintain the darkening of the skin. Besan helps exfoliate the skin and remove old layers that have accumulated on the skin. Try Besan Scrub to remove dead skin and dullness. Besan helps lighten the skin. You can make turmeric using chickpea flour, water, and turmeric knobs.

In a bowl, mix chickpea or gram flour, water, and turmeric snacks. Apply this paste to the entire neck until dry. Wash and moisten. You can repeat this three times a week.

5. Apple Cider Vinegar

ACV balances the skin’s pH and gives it a natural glow. It also removes dead skin cells that have accumulated on the skin and removes dullness. This exfoliating effect is due to the malic acid contained in ACV. Take 2 tablespoons of ACV and 4 tablespoons of water. Dilute ACV( apple cider vinegar) with water and apply this solution with a cotton ball around the neck. Let sit for 10 minutes till the solution disappears, then rinse with water. You can repeat this remedy every two days.
